‘Peer Support’ otherwise known as ‘Lived Experience’ programmes use personal experience to help others. By speaking to someone who has ‘been there’, you know that you will be understood. There has been exponential growth in business-related peer support programmes, particularly since the onset of COVID-19 and the subsequent financial crisis. Peer support allows like-minded business owners to learn from eachother, share good practice and ask questions in a non-judgemental environment. Business does not have to be about competition, businesses do better when they grow together.

HOW CAN PEER SUPPORT HELP YOU

We’ll Be There For You

The success of peer support or lived experience programmes depends on the generosity and willingness of their members to dedicate their time to support others and share their experiences. If you feel that you are able to support another member of your community, please join us. You may not feel that you have adequate skills or experience to mentor another person but all experiences are valuable. Sometimes, providing a listening ear as a sounding board is all it takes for new ideas or solutions to emerge.
