WHAT WE DO: OUR COMMUNITY
NetWORK NotWORK CIC is a free-of-charge, not-for-profit local business and educational community in the North East of England with nationwide expansion planned in 2026! Supporting individuals from age 3 throughout their lifespan until you are forever 21, the community ignites entrepreneurial spirit at every age. Our coworking space, The NotWORK Business Hub at Wynyard Business Park, provides a community from 8.30am-5pm with desk packages, room hire and hot-desk facilities.
The NetWORK was established to promote business growth within a village in the Tees Valley, its founding locality, and allow business owners to form valuable connections and gain support when needed. Since its inception, the NetWORK now spans from North Yorkshire to Northumberland. Owning a business can be isolating and formal networking groups are not for everyone. We aim to operate a fun, non-committal, gamified, and informal approach that does not require referrals or other formal recommendations to be made.
NetWORK NotWORK CIC does not operate a formal referral scheme and does not aim to compete with well-established networking groups and organisations. NetWORK NotWORK is a community initiative that utilises a friendly, informal, fun, and educational approach to support socioeconomic development. Our social mindset aims to support the physical and mental well-being of its members by creating supportive connections in each local community. We work with and alongside local authorities and larger organisations to support you in the best way we possibly can.

IGNITE XP 8-16
A gamified and inclusive badge-based, accredited programme introducing foundational business, entrepreneurship and employability skills through a journalistic lens. The programme is aligned to entry level qualifications 1-3, with embedded work experience opportunities.
IGNITE 11-16
Our earliest youth NetWORK that demystifies networking and professional skills by being introduced to networking, business and entrepreneurial skills in a fun way that builds confidence, communication and relationship-building. We throw away outdated career sterotypes and bring in dynamic mentors, businesses and set challenges to expose our members to opportunities that break traditional boundaries.
INTERNSHIP 13-16
Junior journalism takes a leap to the InternSHIP programme. Continuing the values of development of business, entrepreneurship and employability skills via journalism and creative digital media, the InternSHIP programme promotes youth leadership, project management and provides meaningful engagement with local and global issues.
LEVEL UP! 16-24
Our Level UP! NetWORK bridges the gap between Ignite and our main NetWORK. Ideal for new graduates, those in education or not currently in employment, education and training, Level Up! builds confidence in business, entrepreneurship and employability.

NOTWORKING THAT WORKS 24+
A gamified, accredited professional development programme designed to upskill business owners, managers, leaders and the workforce through both theoretical and practical learning. The programme is aligned to Level 1-3 qualifications, with a focus on wellbeing, sustainability, growth and an inclusive workplace culture. For every programme purchased, a young person gets ONE YEAR of access to Ignite XP which is great for added social value and corporate social responsibility.
INSIGHT 18+
A community cross generational programme that seeks to empower retired and nearly retired individuals to support the next generation of business owners, entrepreneurs and leaders whilst enhancing their own wellbeing, reducing isolation and maintaining cognitive vitality through purposeful engagement.
