Volunteer with NetWORK NotWORK CIC

Want to do something good, meet canny people, and help your local community grow? Come volunteer with NetWORK NotWORK.

We run free networking events across North Yorkshire to Northumberland. We make networking feel like not working with games, simple activities, and real chats. No pressure. No awkward selling. Just people, stories, and support.

We are a Community Interest Company (CIC). That means we exist to create social value, and we put community first.

Why we need volunteers

Our events, projects, and programmes are growing. Volunteers help us keep everything free, friendly, and welcoming.

You do not need a business background. You just need to be kind, reliable, and up for helping.

Volunteer roles (pick one, or mix and match)

Event welcome crew: say hello, help people sign in, and make sure everyone feels included.

Junior Journalism support: help young people (ages 8–16) create stories for NotWORK magazine and the podcast. 🎤

Admin helper: simple tasks like printing, packing resources, and keeping lists up to date.

Time you can give

We will work around your life.

One off help: cover a single event

Monthly: help at one event each month

Weekly: a regular slot at The NotWORK Business Hub

Project based: support Junior Journalism, badge sessions, or a special campaign

Even 1 to 2 hours helps.
