Where netWorkING

becomes notWorkING

Networking should be fun… well now it is!

 WHAT WE DO: OUR COMMUNITY

NetWORK NotWORK CIC is a free-of-charge, not-for-profit local business and educational community in the North East of England with nationwide expansion planned in 2026! Supporting individuals from age 3 throughout their lifespan until you are forever 21, the community ignites entrepreneurial spirit at every age. Our coworking space, The NotWORK Business Hub at Wynyard Business Park, provides a community from 8.30am-5pm with desk packages, room hire and hot-desk facilities.

The NetWORK was established to promote business growth within a village in the Tees Valley, its founding locality, and allow business owners to form valuable connections and gain support when needed. Since its inception, the NetWORK now spans from North Yorkshire to Northumberland. Owning a business can be isolating and formal networking groups are not for everyone. We aim to operate a fun, non-committal, gamified, and informal approach that does not require referrals or other formal recommendations to be made.

NetWORK NotWORK CIC does not operate a formal referral scheme and does not aim to compete with well-established networking groups and organisations. NetWORK NotWORK is a community initiative that utilises a friendly, informal, fun, and educational approach to support socioeconomic development. Our social mindset aims to support the physical and mental well-being of its members by creating supportive connections in each local community. We work with and alongside local authorities and larger organisations to support you in the best way we possibly can.

ROCKET INTO YOUR FUTURE

We deliver a stellar suite of custom accredited and gamified programmes designed to inspire, equip, and empower young people at every stage of their journey. Each programme builds confidence, develops vital employability and interpersonal skills, and connects learners with real-world opportunities.

Junior Journalism and the InternSHIP programmes introduce young people aged 8–16 to media, communication, and storytelling. Through interviewing, podcasting, and article writing, pupils gain confidence in public speaking, teamwork, and creativity. Our 2024-2025 evaluation of 198 children has shown over 93% positive feedback, with children reporting increased self-belief and improved communication skills.

Ignite XP is a gamified, badge-based programme for ages 8–16. Designed to align with and complement the national curriculum and Gatsby Career Guidance Benchmarks, it introduces employability, enterprise, and digital skills in an engaging, inclusive way. Badges cover themes such as business, equality, wellness, sustainability, communication, and leadership. Learners progress from “Know” to “Develop” to “Grow,” with each stage embedding real-world encounters with employers and workplace experiences.

Level UP! is a gamified, badge-based programme that supports young people aged 16–24 and those not in employment, education or training to explore entrepreneurship, personal development, and future careers. It focuses on building resilience, confidence, and adaptability while offering pathways into further education, training, or work. By engaging directly with employers, learners will apply their skills and shape their own futures.

NotWORKing That WORKs is our innovative, gamified badge-based adult programme designed to support business owners and employees to expand their networks, and learn how to thrive in the workplace and grow their business.

Together, these programmes ensure that children, young people, businesses and communities gain the confidence, skills, and connections they need to succeed. They are inclusive by design, and rooted in our mission to remove barriers and open doors for every young person.
